Meeting bronies irl
I was excited to go to a party recently because I like the cartoon, as do the party hosts, and some people in their circle of friends. Sounded pretty cool, I could meet new people I don’t happen to talk to often at school, with the topic of the cartoon as an icebreaker or something. And then some of the hosts’ friends turned out to be the obnoxious internet person type who talk about reddit.com irl regularly, and have no qualms being creepy with sex shit in front of strangers, and who tell shitty sexist jokes (I didn’t stick around to find out more).
It was only maybe 1 or 2 of them, and the hosts are good people afaik, but this ruined the party for me. Fuck brony culture and nerd culture for this shit being acceptable.
